I'm Feeling 79 Years Young Again!

My Diabetic Husband's Blood Sugar: Was 240, Now 94
My husband is a 72 year-old diabetic who came down with a perforated appendix in March. While in the hospital, his blood sugar soared because of the hospital food, drink, and medication he had to take. The day I brought him home, his blood sugar level was 240. We called our Naturopathic Physician and he recommended a strict regimen to check [my husband's] blood sugar. It was obstinate, and after 3 or 4 weeks, he was still struggling. Better Shape Than 15-20 Years Ago
Today, my family started our annual pre-spring cleaning of our back yard... to my surprise I found myself to be physically in better shape now than perhaps 15-20 years ago and perform the heavy labor to prepare the grounds as required. Very Impressed With Salba!
Our support group, North Texas Gluten Intolerance Group, invited Ellie Berglund, a local Salba representative to be our speaker a year ago. I, and my group, were so impressed with her presentation and supporting visual materials about the nutritional value of adding Salba to our diets, that a lot of us bought Salba that day. Diabetes Under Control...
I have been a diabetic for ten years. My glucose levels have been higher than my doctor and I would like I read about the effectiveness of salba for glucose control in "The Saturday Evening Post". I have taken salba gelcaps for six months or so - my glucose is back under control. I take two gelcaps after my main meals. I feel great and less problems with my allergies. Blood Glucose Down 20 Points!
Approximately four months ago, my doctor said my glucose was a little on the high side. Coincidentally, I heard about a clinicaltest in which Salba was given to diabetic patients who, after three months, saw a measurable decrease in their glucose levels. As my next doctor's appointment was in three months, I decided to conduct my own mini-clinical test, and I ordered a 3-month supply of Salba. Salba Helps My Hypoglycemia and IBS
Salba is great! It's become part of my daily diet. I have IBS and reactive hypoglycemia. Salba keeps my blood sugar more stable throughout the morning by combining it with my breakfast cereal. It also has helped my IBS. I went on vacation recently without my Salba and couldn't wait to get home and start back on it. My blood sugar has been dropping in the mornings. I've Worked in the Nutrition Industry for 9 Years...
Thank you, thank you, thank you for Salba! I have worked in the health food industry for 9 years and have been looking for a good source of omega 3's and GLA that I will actually take on a daily basis and stick with. Salba is amazing, no fishy burps or remembering to take pills all day long, and unlike flax seeds, they are so easy to chew - no need to grind them up. I keep a bottle at home and one at work so I can sprinkle some on almost anything I eat. Sandwiches, eggs, salads, soups -- you name it, they taste great. I'm Regular Again!
I just want to thank you for your product and tell you about the results I've had from using Salba. I first heard about Salba from El Peto when I was ordering from them. I began using Salba last Thursday (Oct. 20th). I have Celiac Disease and was having trouble internally and run into complications at times where I needed to take a laxative (this happens at least once a month). I had such complications that I began to develop polyps in my colon because I could not pass anything through my body. I noticed an improvement within two days. I was going to the washroom regularly which usually only happens when I detox myself once a year (using a kit with a "laxaherb"). Sorry if this email is grossing you out! Anyways, I have gone to the washroom 7/8 days since I have been using salba. I donʼt even remember the last time I was this regular. I donʼt feel bloated and irritable anymore. I don't know if its possible, but I do feel like Iʼm not as tired as I used to be. I find that its easier to get out of bed in the morning, and that Iʼm not falling asleep at my computer in the mid-afternoon either like I was.

I wish that I would have discovered this product about 3 years ago. I have tried everything from psyillium husks to taking a million vitamins daily, eaten this meal pattern; apples, prunes, beans in sauce, prune juice, and then a regular dinner...and not even this helps me. ...I'm lovin' this stuff! Easy to grind, easy to store and wonderful to bake with! So far the waffles are excellent, cookies are delightful, sauces and gravies are easily thickened and oh the broth turned out perfectly for homemade chicken and noodles! I believe I've only just begun to experiment... I typically do a lot more in the kitchen as the weather cools off and winter months keep us nestled in... need I say more?

Salba is Working Better than My Prescriptions!!
I have been on Salba for about four months now. I have type 2 diabetes and was diagnosed about six years ago. I am on maximum dose of Metformin and two shots of 10mcg of Byetta. My blood sugar was still in the 160 - 210 range. I have been searching for a more natural way to control my diabetes. I started mixing 2-3 tablespoons of salba with oatmeal in the morning, at lunch I mix two tablespoons of salba with either activia yogurt or soy milk (blended). I sprinkle it on my salads. I have reduced my saturated fats to a minimum. My skin is no longer dry, my feeling in my fingers and toes has returned to normal, I can see in low light better, I have lost 20 pounds in the last two months and my blood sugar is between 94 - 114. My exercise has been one round of golf per week. I intend to increase my exercise and hope to begin reducing my medication. The salba in the morning gives me a feeling of fullness throughout the day.

My Family and I Are Food Sensitive
I wanted to take a few minutes and send you a note to let you know how satisfied I am with my Salba orders and how I use Salba. Basically, my family and I are food sensitive and mainly vegan since January of 2007. I have been looking for a single source of protein, omega-3, fiber, as well as a way to sustain an even blood sugar levels. I use Salba to replace eggs in recipes and make sure to add more liquid and longer baking time. I am assured as a mother of two teens and wife of a hungry husband that Salba fills our need to know we are getting a great amount of omega-3's with out taking pills of fish oil or other oils.

I use Salba in smoothies, in baked goods, to smooth out our oatmeal, and add it to everything where protein would regularly show up in a meal. Since the little white grain is basically taste free and takes on what ever flavor I am adding it to, I don't worry about rejection of what I make when we sit down for a meal. Since we are somewhat gluten intolerant, I add the lovely plumping grain to coarser types of non-wheat pancake flours which can be dry and coarse, and we are pleasantly surprised as to the new creations of what used to be a choke it down pancake. Nutritious strawberry shortcake for breakfast anyone? We've wound up making that with Salba.
Recently my cholesterol was tested and I went from a 199 cholesterol level to 133. I would say that is remarkable.
I am looking forward to all the new lines of Salba products coming out from Core Naturals, and will hope to open a Salba products store someday in my Southern California area.
Until then I will continue experimenting with recipes by plumping, smoothing, adding fluffiness, fiber and nutrition to what would typically be a challenging gluten free, vegan menu.

My Arthritis is Gone!
A friend told me about Salba, so I bought 3 bottles. I have taken 2 Tbs daily for the last 6 weeks. The arthritis pain in my knees is completely gone! I work 40+ hours as an operating room nurse in a mega 75-operating room hospital. I am 52 years young and nurses half my age cannot keep up.

The Energy I've Experienced is a God-send
I am very happy to share my findings from taking Salba. It has been a God-send for me to have the energy I've experienced since taking it. I have the energy without nervousness, and more stamina. It's Like We Were 10-20 Years Younger...
My husband and I started taking the 2 tablespoons of salba about the 2nd week of December 2005. I am 72 and my husband almost 80. I had been battling cancer fatigue and could barely make it from one chair to another, my husband had energy but if he ate, he would fall asleep for hours. After only 3 to 4 days, I was back to doing chores and enjoying a better outlook on life. My husband could eat and continue with chores. Its like we were 10 to 20 years younger. Its really great!!
