Salba Date Balls (GF)

A quick and easy no-bake, Gluten-Free recipe. These date balls are a perfect treat to add to your holiday repertoire. With Salba - the stealth health supergrain - nobody will know that they're getting their RDA of fiber and omega-3s in each serving. Makes 40-60 date balls.
Ingredients
3 cups dates
3 cups water
1/4 cup Salba Ground Seed
5 cups crisped rice cereal (Rice Krispies??®)
1 cup ground walnuts
Cooking Instructions
Bring water to a boil with dates. Cook on low for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
Mash boiled dates with potato masher. Let cool.
Add Salba Ground Seed to date mixture, and mix well.
Add crisped rice to the mixture and mix well.
Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls.
Spread crushed walnuts on a baking sheet and roll the balls to coat them with walnuts.
Refrigerate ovenight.
